Though justification costs us nothing but the sacrifice of our pride, it has cost Christ His blood.

As we pour out our bitterness, God pours in his peace.

He is the richest man in the esteem of the world who has gotten the most. He is the richest man in the esteem of Heaven who has given the most.

Fall on your knees and grow there. There is no burden of the spirit but is lighter by kneeling under it. Prayer means not always talking to Him, but waiting before Him till the dust settles and the stream runs clear.

Prayer is an exchange. We leave our burdens, worries and sin in the hands of God. We come away with oil of joy and the garment of praise.

God has a purpose in every life, and when the soul is completely yielded and acquiescent, He will certainly realize it. Blessed is he who has never thwarted the working of the divine ideal.

Unbelief puts our circumstance between us and God, but faith puts God between us and our circumstances.
