If prolific is writing a lot of songs, I'm that. If it's writing a lot of good songs, I'm something else.

Musically, there's probably nothing better than, after spending weeks or months of grinding on a lyric or a song, when you play a good song from beginning to end for the first time - there's a moment there where all the pain and suffering is worth it.

Once you have kids and you're married, it's all about them. My life changed. You can see in my records.

Usually it is a painful process (writing), "Superman" came in 45 minutes; "100 Years" in four months.

I'm a family guy. A lot of my songs are inspired by my kids. Simple relationships. Watching them grow up, watching them share experiences with me and vice versa.

We all have our fears, our insecurities. I'm not different from anyone else.

I was able to truly immerse myself in the record-making process. I'm excited about music.
