Floyd Mayweather is bigger than the sport. That's the thing. Because you can go to somebody who don't even know what boxing is and say, "Floyd Mayweather." They'll go, "Oh, I know Floyd Mayweather. I've heard that name."

Some pay to see me win, some pay to see me lose, but they all pay.

I want to be able to separate the average from the good and from the great. I want to separate the ordinary from the extraordinary.

Boxing has always been work to me, a job. If I could say anything to a youngster taking up boxing it would be to "be smart and not take a lot of punches". It's called the sweet science for a reason. Hit and not be hit, make a lot of money without taking a lot of punishment. That's what it's about.

When it's all said & done only God can judge me. I'm going to go out there on 5/5 to give my fans what they want to see.
