He has more of a right to ask us why so many people are starving [than we do to ask Him]. As much as we want God to explain himself to us, His creation, we are in no place to demand that He give an account to us.

The idea of holding back certainly didn't come from Scripture.

It's a pretty crazy task to try to describe God "quickly." Everything starts with a healthy fear of Him.

The irony is that while God doesn't need us but still wants us, we desperately need God but don't really want Him most of the time. He treasures us and anticipates our departure from this earth to be with Him-and we wonder, indifferently, how much we have to do for Him to get by.

I've never felt a need to really respond to someone else's writing.

God exists outside of time, and since we are within time, there is no way we will ever totally grasp that concept.
