My favorite, and the author I wish I was reading right now and always is Nora Ephron. I love the humor, the awareness, the sense of self-deprecation. She is such a role model to me.

In general I try to spend the mornings connecting and keeping things organized, and then try and do more creative work in the afternoons.

I still love when any editor today says, "it's so cool what you do", or "you inspired me". All these little things make you realize that people are reading your site and that you have an influence.

My work has gotten a bit strange. I do consulting, and people ask, "Could you give me your opinion on this, and could you take a picture?" And I've been approached by a lot of magazines, but I'm trying to take it slowly. In fact, I'm part of the first generation of photographers who don't have to depend on magazines because we have our own media and everyone sees our photos.

When I don't have anything to say, I don't publish. Rather than posting something that's not very interesting, it's best to wait until you have something that really inspires you and makes you laugh.

It is still important that every project I do I do something real, that feels true to me.

I think a great piece of outerwear can really make you stand out.
