A fool who recognises his own ignorance is thereby in fact a wise man, but a fool who considers himself wise - that is what one really calls a fool.

His success may be great, but be it ever so great the wheel of fortune may turn again and bring him down into the dust.

Live in Joy, In love, Even among those who hate. Live in joy, In health, Even among the afflicted. Live in joy, In peace, Even among the troubled. Look within. Be still. Free from fear and attachment, Know the sweet joy of living in the way.

By defilement of mind, beings are defiled; by purification of mind, beings are purified.

It is not life and wealth and power that enslave men, but the cleaving to life and wealth and power.

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
