The lesson of September the 11th is: Take threats before they fully materialize.

Every nation in every region now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.

These acts shattered steel, but they cannot dent the steel of America's resolve.

I don't understand how poor people think.

We increased expenses, particularly in two areas: the military. If I put somebody in harm's way, they're going to get the best, as far as I'm concerned.

I hope that's what the taxpayers of Great Britain expect, is expect us to, when we make investments in countries, that they work. And they don't work if a nation doesn't invest in its people.

Really proud of it. A great campaign. And I'm really pleased with the organization and the thousands of South Carolinians that worked on my behalf. And I'm very gracious and humbled.
