I think it's very important that we protect marriage as an institution between a man and a woman. I proposed a constitutional amendment. The reason I did so was because I was worried that activist judges are actually defining the definition of marriage. And the surest way to protect marriage between a man and woman is to amend the Constitution.

America is a nation of prayer. It's impossible to tell the story of our nation without telling the story of people who pray.

We are not at war with the Afghani people, and we are not at war with Islam, which most Americans respect as a religion of peace.

America is successful because of the hard work and creativity and enterprise of our people.

I'd also remind people, if I were running for Presidency, that a long-term problem facing the budget is Social Security and Medicare.
