I want everybody to hear loud and clear that I'm going to be the president of everybody.

People should be allowed to express their opinion. But, Americans need to know I'll be making up my mind based upon the latest intelligence and how best to protect our own country, plus our friends and allies.

In 2002, a lot of the pundits didn't get the off-year elections right. In 2004, a lot of people thought I was going down eight days before the election.

We know that dictators are quick to choose aggression, while free nations strive to resolve differences in peace. We know that oppressive governments support terror, while free governments fight the terrorists in their midst. We know that free peoples embrace progress and life, instead of becoming the recruits for murderous ideologies.

This is Preservation Month. I appreciate preservation. It's what you do when you run for president. You gotta preserve.

In the battle of Iraq, the United States and our allies have prevailed.

We want more people owning things in this country. Let me put it to you bluntly: In a changing world, we want more people to have control over your own life.
