As the September 11th Commission concluded, our country is safer than we were three years ago, but we are not yet safe

I've watched carefully what's happened in San Francisco where licenses were being issued, even though the law states otherwise. I have consistently stated that I will support law to protect marriage between a man and a woman. And obviously these events are influencing my decision.

Free market capitalism is far more than economic theory. It is the engine of social mobility-the highway to the American Dream.

A dictatorship would be a heck of a lot easier, there's no question about it. Dealing with Congress is a matter of give and take. The president doesn't get everything he wants, the Congress doesn't get everything they want. But we're finding good common ground.
