Americans understand we fight not a religion; ours is not a campaign against the Muslim faith. Ours is a campaign against evil.

We don't need mass armies anymore. We replace it with more effective equipment.

I'm hopeful. I know there is a lot of ambition in Washington, obviously. But I hope the ambitious realize that they are more likely to succeed with success as opposed to failure.

And one thing we want during this war on terror is for people to feel like their life's moving on, that they're able to make a living and send their kids to college and put more money on the table.

I'm excited for my little girls. When they left the nest, I was excited because they were winging their way into life.

This is still a dangerous world. It's a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mental losses.

Perceptions change with time and you can't rush it, in my judgment.
