I come from the school of thought that says when people have more money in their pocket during economic times, it increases demand or investment. Small businesses begin to grow, and jobs are added.

The bill Congress sent me would take away one of the most valuable tools in the war on terror... so today I vetoed it.

The United States and rich countries cannot change Africa from within. It has to impose reform on Africa; it has to come from within.

Can't living with the bill means it won't become law.
