I'm the master of low expectations.

For too long, many nations, including my own, tolerated, even excused, oppression in the Middle East in the name of stability. Oppression became common, but stability never arrived. We must take a different approach. We must help the reformers of the Middle East as they work for freedom, and strive to build a community of peaceful, democratic nations.

The war in Iraq is a rare opportunity to move toward an historic period of cooperation. Out of these troubled times a new world order can emerge.

Americans understand we fight not a religion; ours is not a campaign against the Muslim faith. Ours is a campaign against evil.

People who plan their life when they're 18 years old and say, "This is my life plan," would generally be surprised and maybe disappointed.

People have access to health care in America. After all, you just go to an emergency room.

By heritage and by choice, the United States of America will make that stand.
