You wear clothes so beautifully!

I'm the exact same person I was before (cancer). I'm still shallow, I still love clothes, I still want to talk fashion, I still want to gossip, so lay it on me.

A rumor that followed me forever was that my family was in the mafia. For years I had to live with it. They'd call me the mafia princess, so I rolled with it for the rest of high school. People even joke about it today.

You've got to be good to each other ... it really comes back to respect. I was raised in a very Catholic, Italian family and it was all about respect. Don't talk badly about [your partner] the second they walk out the door; really preserve your relationship and be good to each other. Treat it like gold.

A lot of us think we're invincible... but we have to start putting ourselves on the to-do list.

I started realizing I could be an example for women to not just be aware of breast cancer but to act on it. To make an appointment, to give themselves an exam.

I have a new found respect for women who have been through breast cancer and this surgery.
