It used to be said that this country was a child-centered one. Nothing could be further from the truth. Children have been our lowest priority, both in economic and emotional spending.

Of course, we can change. We're very adaptable. But it takes a while.

We have to imagine change before we can begin to move toward it.

It would be a disaster to have Sarah Palin or Carly Fiorina in the White House, so it's not just a woman, but a woman who stands for the majority needs of women. It's not just getting a job for one woman, it's making life better for all women.

It's never to late for a happy childhood.

Transformation happens in small groups. Each person can speak and all listen.

By the year 2000 we will, I hope, raise our children to believe in human potential, not God.
