Believe in the power of prayer - it is real, it is wonderful, it is tremendous.

If you serve a mission faithfully and well, you will be a better husband, you will be a better father, you will be a better student, a better worker in your chosen vocation. Love is of the essence of this missionary work. Selflessness is of its very nature. Self-discipline is its requirement. Prayer opens its reservoir of power.

We feel the need to emphasize with greater clarity the obligation for members of the Church to become more independent and self reliant.

The trick, my brethren and sisters is to enjoy the journey, traveling hand in hand, in sunshine and storm, as companions who love one another.

I am totally in the hands of the Lord.

The best thing you can do is just keep busy, keep working hard, so you're not dwelling on it all the time. Work is the best antidote for sorrow.

Nobody is lost until somebody has given up.
