One evening when I had my wood-burning stove going I realized I hadn't thought of dessert.

I don't have time to devote to putting outfits together before picking up the kids. I'm a creature of habit and in that way, I tend to just go towards what works for me and what's comfortable. It's really important to be comfortable when you're running around after kids.

I just had a baby. I'm not going to work unless it's something really special and meaningful, because I can't imagine missing all that time with my daughter.

I remember when I was maybe 27 years old and kind of at the height of my movie stardom - it was around the time of the Oscar and this and that. I think I was very much believing my own hype, which how could you not? I was sitting with my dad, feeling great about my life and everything that was happening, and he was like, "You know, you're getting a little weird...You're kind of an asshole." And I was like, "What the hell?" I was totally devastated. But it turned out to be basically the best thing that ever happened to me.

Could I use some butter and cheese and eggs in my cooking without going down some kind of hippie shame spiral? Yes. Of course I could.

I have a very highly developed sense of denial.

Beauty, to me is about being comfortable in your own skin.
