As you go through life you realize that the love that you have for the people in your life and their love for you is all that matters. It's really about how you regard them and how they regard you.

I'm never going again on Met Gala. It was so un-fun. It was boiling. It was too crowded. I did not enjoy it at all.

As you get older, you choose friends based on not only what feels resonant and warm but if they're bringing something to your life. My women friends are incredibly intelligent. There's no posturing, no competition. Especially in Los Angeles, I see pockets of friends who are very competitive, and I think, What is the point? I would rather be alone in bed with a book than have a girlfriend who is like that.

I'm sort of getting into the idea of nourishing your inner aspect and doing that by investing in your family and making a meal and creating time together.

I do 45 minutes of cardio five days a week, because I like to eat. I do Tracy Anderson's dance aerobics classes.

It’s much harder for me... I think it’s different when you have an office job, because it’s routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening. When you’re shooting a movie, they’re like, 'We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,' and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult. I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as, of course there are challenges, but it’s not like being on set.

I think my favourite thing is understanding the responsibility of raising two human beings and putting them into the world.
