Venezuelans have a deep democratic conviction. If the government hotheads ventured out to stir violence they would encounter the armed forces. I don't believe the armed forces respond to a political party.

It's no secret that in Venezuela there is no division of powers and that many functionaries have put on blinders when looking at irregularities because they benefit from the revolution and its corruption.

How have relations with Iran and Belarus benefited Venezuela? We are interested in countries that have democracies, that respect human rights, that we have an affinity with. What affinity do we have with Iran?

The country is in the worst conditions ever in its history. It's unjustifiable that in a country with the largest petroleum reserves on the planet, 70% of the food we eat is imported ... that there are 700,000 families in extreme poverty who go to bed hungry every night.

I'm like a ship captain: I have a woman in every port.

I aspire to be the president of all Venezuelans. The message is clear. Venezuelans are fed up with confrontation, with division.

We will give Venezuelans living abroad reasons to return home. This country needs many qualified people, a lot of manpower - people willing to bet on a better future. We need the help of all Venezuelans.
