We don't realise how much the world has affected us. We put God in the background.

God speaks through a variety of means. In the present God primarily speaks by the Holy Spirit, through the Bible, prayer, circumstances, and the church.

The Christian never works toward victory, he always works FROM victory.

God is interested in developing your character. At times He lets you proceed, but He will never let you go too far without discipline to bring you back. In your relationship with God, He may let you make a wrong decision. Then the Spirit of God causes you to recognize that it is not God's will. He guides you back to the right path.

God doesn't want people to do what they think is best: he wants them to do what he knows is best, and no amount of reasoning and intellectualizing will discover that.

Ultimately, leadership is more about 'being' than 'doing.'

Don't put labels on people. See them as people who Christ died for.
