I'm thrilled the president [Barack Obama] has endorsed me. We started off as fierce competitors, and we've ended up as true friends and partners and worked together on so many important issues.

Music education can help spark a child's imagination or ignite a lifetime of passion. When you provide a child with new worlds to explore and challenges to tackle, the possibilities are endless. Music education should not be a privilege for a lucky few, it should be a part of every child's world of possiblity.

It is time to pick a side.Either we stand with the gun lobby or we join the president and stand up to them.

I do have investments, investments in new jobs, investments in education, skill training, and the opportunities for people to get ahead and stay ahead. That's the kind of approach that will work.

We need to make equal pay and equal opportunity for women and girls a reality so women's rights are human rights once and for all.

Wall Street can never be allowed to threaten main street again. No bank can be too big to fail, no executive too powerful to jail.

When I think about what we need to do, we have 33,000 people a year who die from guns. I think we need comprehensive background checks, need to close the online loophole, close the gun show loophole. There's other matters that I think are sensible that are the kind of reforms that would make a difference that are not in any way conflicting with the Second Amendment.
