I was somewhat confused when senator [Bernie] Sanders said, well, you know, Planned Parenthood and Human Rights Campaign, they`re part of the establishment.

I know Donald's [Trump] trying very hard to plant doubts about it, but I hope the people out there understand: This election's really up to you. It's not about us so much as it is about you and your families and the kind of country and future you want. So I sure hope you will get out and vote as though your future depended on it, because I think it does.

I still believe that if we stand together with courage in our convictions and love for America, our best days are ahead of us.

I hope America does not accept the kind of language that Donald Trump is using to describe our fellow Americans.

We have fewer troops in Afghanistan than we had law enforcement [officers] at the Olympics in Salt Lake City.

I'm a proud product of the American middle class.

Senator [Ben] Sanders and I share some very big progressive goals. I've been fighting for universal healthcare for many years, and we're now on the path to achieving it. I don't want us to start over again. I think that would be a great mistake, to once again plunge our country into a contentious debate about whether we should have and what kind of system we should have for healthcare.
