People support me because they know me. They know my life's work. They have worked with me and many have also worked with Senator [Bernie] Sanders. And at the end of the day they endorse me because they know I can get things done.

We're going to have to make it clear that we don't want to use the kinds of tools that we have. We don't want to engage in a different kind of warfare. But we will defend the citizens of this country.

Mandela once told me that he lived on hatred when he went into prison because he was young and he was being abused and he was out there cracking those rocks all day and he said after about 11 years he realized that they'd already taken about everything they could take from him except his mind and his heart

[Police chiefs ] want support, they want more training, they want more assistance. And I think the federal government could be in a position where we would offer and provide that.

The last time I actually drove a car myself was 1996.

I have to say, that I am delighted that Secretary [Hillary] Clinton month after month after month seems to be adopting more and more of the positions that we have advocated.

It is wrong that corporations and the super wealthy play by a different set of rules.
