I am not going to let anyone into America who is not vetted, who we do not have confidence in. But I am not going to slam the door on women and children.

We have to resist, protectionism, other kinds of barriers to market access and to trade.

When I was in the Senate, I had a number of trade deals that came before me, and I held them all to the same test. Will they create jobs in America? Will they raise incomes in America? And are they good for our national security? Some of them I voted for.

I would say to the new leadership the American people are ready to meet you if you move forward toward the path of democracy.

When I was secretary of state, we actually increased American exports globally 30 percent. We increased them to China 50 percent.

I think I will serve as secretary of state as my last public position.

I have put together resources from the private and philanthropic communities to help provide a bridge because you've got to get the federal money. You've got to get the state money, but I'm going to do everything I can. And I will be with Flint all the way through this crisis in whatever capacity I am.
