If Donald Trump were to win this 2017 election, we would have a commander in chief who is completely out of his depth and whose ideas are incredibly dangerous.

As a young lawyer, I learned to try to find common ground with people, to look for a human connection. When I got to the Senate, despite the fact that there were a lot of people who didn't want me to get there - and were sure they'd never even talk to me, let alone work with me - I really tried to do the job I was sent there to do by the people of New York, which was to get things done for my constituents. I worked with Republicans, and we found a lot of common ground. It isn't easy, but it's part of what we have to do in politics today.

Standing up for America, investing in America, will pay off.

First, we parents have to back up school authority and quit making excuses for our kids when they misbehave.

Somebody who attacks everybody has something missing.

Remember that movie Independence Day, where invaders were coming from outer space and the whole world was united against the invasion? Why can't we be united on behalf of our planet? And that's what I want to do.

I think it's only fair that Americans take into account who can keep them safe. Who has the best ideas for defeating ISIS. And protecting us here at home. I think I have laid out what I believe would work.
