With prior Republican nominees for president, I disagreed with them on politics, policies, principles, but I never questioned their fitness to serve. Donald Trump is different.

I'm a proud product of the American middle class.

In America, one of the biggest problems we have with China is the illegal dumping of steel and aluminum into our markets. I have fought against that as a senator. I've stood up against it as secretary of state.

I have met a lot of the people who were stiffed by you and your businesses, Donald [Trump]. I've met dishwashers, painters, architects, glass installers, marble installers, drapery installers, like my dad was, who you refused to pay when they finished the work that you asked them to do.

What I was saying back then was that we have a lot of public health costs that taxpayers end up paying for through Medicaid, Medicare, through uncompensated care, because that was in the context of the push for health care reform and that we needed some way to try to defray those costs.

There hasn't been anybody whose life has been picked apart and distorted as much as mine.

I don't want to get into some sort of back-and-forth on insults because that just drags everybody down.
