Election is always to sanctification. Where there is no visible fruit of sanctification, we may be sure there is no election.

The 'means of grace' are such as Bible reading, private prayer, and regularly worshiping God in Church, wherein one hears the Word taught and participates in the Lord's Supper.

No salvation without regeneration - no spiritual life without a new birth - no heaven without a new heart.

It was the crowning proof that the ransom He paid for sinners was accepted, the atonement for sin accomplished, the head of him who had the power of death bruised, and the victory won.

True faith will always show itself by its fruits . . . I suspect that, with rare exceptions, men die just as they have lived.

We should no more tolerate false doctrine that we would tolerate sin.

A true Christian is one who has not only peace of conscience, but war within. He may be known by his warfare as well as by his peace.
