Meekness is one of the brightest graces which can adorn the Christian character.

Children are very quick observers; very quick in seeing through some kinds of hypocrisy, very quick in finding out what you really think and feel, very quick in adopting all your ways and opinions. You will often discover that, as the father is, so is the son.

The true Christian regards all Christ's friends as his friends, members of the same body, children of the same family, soldiers in the same army, travelers to the same home. When he meets them, he feels as if he had long known them. He is more at home with them in a few minutes, than he is with many worldly people after an acquaintance of several years. And what is the secret of all this? It is simply affection to the same Savior and love to the same Lord.

Your trials, crosses, and conflicts are all temporary.

A tree may always be known by its fruit, and a true Christian may always be discovered by their habits, tastes & affections.

Nothing so hardens the heart of man as a barren familiarity with sacred things.
