[Rhage and Manny] โYouโre doing great,โ he murmured as he noticed those white knuckled fists. โDonโt worry about me.โ โRight, rightโฆyour brothers.โ Manny paused for a split second. โYouโre all right, you know that.โ โF*ckโฆthatโฆโ The fighter smiled, flashing fangs. โIโmโฆperfect.
J.R. WardClosing his eyes, he sent up a prayer to anyone who was listening, asking please, for God's sake, stop sending him signals that they were right for each other. He'd read that book, seen the movie, bought the soundtrack, the DVD, the T-shirt, the mug, the bobble-head, and the insider's guide. He knew every reason they could have been lock and key. But just as he was aware of all that aligned them, he was even clearer on how they were damned to be ever apart.
J.R. WardWhoa. Fangs. She had fangs. She leaned in, prodded them a little. Eating with those puppies was going to take some getting used to, she thought. On impulse, she brought up her hands, turned her fingers into claws. Hissed. Cool.

J.R. WardI've always kind of thought that reviews written by readers for readers are a kind of private space between consumers. It's their right to say anything they like about your material, and authors need to know that and respect that. As for my end, I'm aware of what my sales are, so I know that my books are working in the marketplace, at least for now, and beyond that, I have to just do my thing and stay focused.
