One of the greatest things you have in life is that no one has the authority to tell you what you want to be. You're the one who'll decide what you want to be. Respect yourself and respect the integrity of others as well. The greatest thing you have is your self image, a positive opinion of yourself. You must never let anyone take it from you.

If we expect students to be winners and expect them to do well, they will rise to the occasion.

I do not believe in the gifted. If [the students] have ganas, I can make them do it.

Education is the ticket to success

Ask 'How will they learn best?' not 'Can they learn?'.

We are all concerned about the future of American education. But as I tell my students, you do not enter the future - you create the future. The future is created through hard work.
