If you truly believe that your dreams will come a reality the possibilities are endless

When I was a kid, I used to live in New York City. There was a guy named Michael Alig. He used to throw parties. And a couple of times, I even worked for him and his crew, and handed out fliers, and had my super-high shoes on, and wearing silver Saran Wrap around my head or something. It's a world I was really comfortable in: a world full of individuals. I think what I like about that world - besides my own personal interests - is the individualism, the investment in the self.

I really enjoy learning about other people and I'm really curious about other people.

I just think it's really important to be yourself and not trying to be something you're not.

I was raised around a lot of artists, musicians, photographers, painters and people that were in theater. Just having the art-communal hippie experience as a child, there wasn't a clear line that was drawn. We celebrated creative experience and creative expression. We didn't try and curtail it and stunt any of that kind of growth.

Be brave, fight for what you believe in and make your dreams your reality

I don’t think [Requiem for a Dream] is for children, but I think if you went home and looked at the video games that your kids are playing, you’d be much more shocked.
