Now Ben Folds is my photography older brother. He was kind enough to give me a photo of his for my 40th birthday.

Growing up, my sisters were both into dancing, so I went to a lot of dance recitals, mostly because there were always pretty girls in leotards.

It's the journey, not the destination. I truly believe that.

When somebody listens and laughs, you're always in better shape than when you're with those folks who just kind of look at you when you say something funny. You wonder if they're looking at you because they're mad that they didn't say it or something. It's hard to handle that.

I haven't really had too many bosses. Any bad boss I had probably was because I was a bad employee.

I don't know where I'm gonna be two weeks at a time, much less the thing I'm making. I'm just flattered to get the opportunity to do it and to get asked to do it.

I don't know if the idea of a career in show business or in the arts in general was looked down upon as much as by baby boomers as it was by their parents.
