Jeff [Gordon] doesn't sit down and explain things. We don't sit and have meetings where I'm the student. He really teaches by example. I've learned a lot on and off the racetrack.

NASCAR does a good job of trying to keep things equal with new rules. We're not allowed to have computers in our cars to tell the crew what's going on. So the only thing you have is the driver, and the driver-crew chief relationship. That's the most important thing.

Driving will never be away from me - I can't just give it up. It's all I've ever done, and there's something about being in that car.

I lived in Wisconsin for a while, so I keep my eyes on the Packers. I grew up in San Diego, so there's the Chargers, but outside of that, I'm really kind of lame because I don't have a specific team I pull for.

You watch guys live through their peaks, and then unfortunately, you've got to come down from that peak.

The thing I love about off-road racing is the pride in how abusive it is.
