Fiction comes in all shapes and sizes. Secrets,lies,stories. We all tell them. Sometimes,because we hope to entertain. Sometimes,because we need to distract. And sometimes, because we have to.

Having a fantasy come true doesn't always mean it will be permanent.

But there’s a part of me that wonders what it would be like to be the most important person to someone else, to always feel like you were missing a piece of yourself when he wasn’t near you.

If his voice hasn't been the melody of my life, it's been the bass line, so subtle you don't notice it until it's missing.

There are certain things I do not talk about.

There are some things we do because we convince ourselves it would be better for everyone involved. We tell ourselves that it's the right thing to do, the altruistic thing to do. It's far easier than telling ourselves the truth.

I became a firefighter because I wanted to save people. But I should have been more specific. I should have named names.
