I had a great deal of trouble focusing. My two - I had three children, and the two that survived - boys - were very badly injured. I did my job. I didn't miss the votes. I showed up. But I just could hardly wait to get home.

One of my roles as vice president is to - is to be an interlocutor with the Senate and the House because everybody up there knows I respect them and I enjoy it. And I have a lot of good friends on both sides of the aisle up there.

What I was saying is that Israel cannot count on the United States.

The truth is I don't regret it. It was the right decision [not run for president] for my family, and the right decision for me.

There's never been A day in the last four years I've been proud to be his Vice President. Not a single day.

Justice [Sandra Day] O'Connor also brought balance to our highest court; most recently, as been repeated many times, when she cautioned about how war doesn't give a blank check.

I still care deeply about so many thing. And so I'm going to be engaged. I'm going to be out there as - with a platform to talk about the things that I care about: foreign policy and, you know, violence against women, you know, the inequity in the tax structure.
