I can die a happy man never having been president of the United States of America. But it doesn't mean I won't run.

The idea that you know more than the intelligence community knows, it's a little like saying, I know more about physics than my professor.

I may be Irish, but I'm not stupid.

Obama and Biden want to raise taxes by a trillion dollars. Guess what? Yes, we do in one regard. We want to let that trillion dollar tax cut expire so the middle class doesn't have to bear the burden of all that money going to the super-wealthy. That's not a tax raise. That's called fairness where I come from.

The point being we used to have a system that wasn't as rigged in how the tax structure functioned. The president [Barack Obama] and I have been trying to get rid of some of these loopholes for some time. Look, we have to change the corporate culture.

As my family and I have worked through the grieving process, I've said all along ... that it may very well be that that process, by the time we get through, it, closes the window on mounting a realistic campaign for president that it might close.

Millionaires are just as patriotic as poor people. The very wealthy are just as noble and patriotic as the middle class. But nothing has been asked of them in this horrendous recession. And it's time we just ask.
