When you go through difficult times...recognize that God is refining you, knocking off some of your rough edges.

I preach that anybody can improve their lives. I think God wants us to be prosperous. I think he wants us to be happy. To me, you need to have money to pay your bills. I think God wants us to send our kids to college. I think he wants us to be a blessing to other people. But I don't think I'd say God wants us to be rich. It's all relative, isn't it?

Where you are now is not where you will always be. There are brighter days up ahead.

Don't do anything that you wouldn't feel comfortable reading about in the newspaper the next day.

God will give you strength when you think you can’t go on. He will give you joy when you should be discouraged. He can make a way when it looks impossible.

I don't have it in my heart to condemn people. I'm here to encourage them. I see myself more as a coach, as a motivator to help them experience the life God has for us.

You must forgive the people who hurt you so you can get out of prison. You'll never be free until you do. Let go of hose wrongs they've done to you. Get that bitterness out of your life. That's the only way you're going to truly be free. You will be amazed at what can happen in your life when you release all that poison.
