I'm not a big believer in trying to jam stuff down somebody's throat: 'You're going to do it my way.' I'd rather show by example and live my life and have people say, 'You know what, I want to live like Joel has. He's got peace and joy, and he seems content.'

The Scripture says that God blesses where men walk in unity, so we just thought it's good for us to come together as Democrats, Republicans; believers, nonbelievers, all different walks of life and say hey, we are here to celebrate the goodness of God.

Hard times may have held you down, but they will not last forever. When all is said and done, you will be increased.

You will never rise above the image you have of yourself in your own mind.

When things are difficult, smile by faith. Don't wait until you feel better.

You can't talk defeat and expect to have victory. You can't talk lack and expect to have abundance. You've got to send your words out in the direction you want your life to go.

Let's be the kind of people that do good for others whether we get paid back or not, whether they say thank you or not.
