It would be naïve to suggest the Iranian regime will not continue to use its nuclear program, and any economic relief, to further destabilize the region, in the weeks ahead, Republicans and Democrats in Congress will continue to press the Obama administration on the details of these parameters and the tough questions that remain unanswered. We will stand strong on behalf of the American people and everyone in the Middle East who values freedom, security, and peace.

Will we fight or will we retreat? That is the question that is posed to us. Some of my friends on the other side of the aisle often refer to Iraq as a distraction.

An Affront to the Rule of Law and to the Constitution Itself

But, you know, I'm presiding over an institution that was designed not to work.

Studies show that children best flourish when one mom and one dad are there to raise them.

I would say to the president: This is not about me. This is not about Republicans here in Congress. It's about fairness for the America people.

The value of the majority lies not in the opportunity to wield great power, but in the chance to use power to do great things.
