People today are desperate for leaders, but they want to be influenced only by individuals they can trust, persons of good character.

Few things build a person up like affirmation. According to Webster’s New World Dictionary, Third College Edition (Simon and Schuster, 1991), the word affirm comes from ad firmare, which means “to make firm.” So when you affirm people, you make firm within them the things you see about them. Do that often enough, and the belief that solidifies within them will become stronger than the doubts they have about themselves.

When you are full of pride on the inside, it makes you stiff, stubborn, and creates strife with others.

If you want to reach your potential and become the person you were created to be, you must do much more than just experience life and hope that you learn what you need along the way. You must go out of your way to seize growth opportunities as if your future depended on it. Why? Because it does. Growth doesn't just happen--not for me, not for you, not for anybody. You HAVE TO go after it.

The only adequate preparation for tomorrow is the right use of today.

Do not take the agenda that someone else has mapped out for your life.

Presence is a result of confidence. Presence... when we see it we feel it.
