Most pastors have a hard time grasping a vision. But vision is the indispensable quality of a leader.

I really didn't settle stuff spiritually until I was 17 years of age. But through my teenage years I just knew that someday I had to settle accounts and get things straightened up and move in that direction.

So think long and hard about who you're spending the most time with, for wherever they are headed, so are you.

While everyone exercises influence, the size and strength of our influence depends upon our effort. No one leads well without paying the price of discipline. As we push ourselves to grow and to learn, we enlarge our sphere of influence.

You realize that we over-exaggerate yesterday, we over-estimate tomorrow and we underestimate today. We think, "Well, I'm going to kill time," "I'll get back to this tomorrow."

Success is... knowing your purpose in life, growing to reach your maximum potential, and sowing seeds that benefit others.

All things being equal, attitude wins. All things not being equal, attitude sometimes still wins.
