The Senate used to be a place of great debate and accomplishment. Now it is run like a dictatorship shutting out the voices of millions of Americans.

I do not believe the border is secure and I still believe we have a long, long way to go.

Unfortunately, the (budget) does not . . . help Congress reform such programs as Medicaid and Medicare, which both grow at average rate of around 8 percent each year through 2015 and will continue to eat up more of the total federal budget.

People are tired of just yelling at the TV set. They actually are going to turn out and vote.

I'm afraid, is that there are a number of groups who really don't want a fair-minded judge who has an openness to both sides of the argument. Rather, they want judges who will impose their liberal agenda on the American people; views so liberal that they cannot prevail at the ballot box.

Senators will do what they think they need to do to represent their constituents

I think we ought to talk about what the American people want, and that is jobs and get the economy on track.
