We give glory to God when we trust him to do what he has promised to do-especially when all human possibilities are exhausted. Faith glorifies God. That is why God planned for faith to be the way we are justified.

Marriage. The roots are deep. The covenant is solid. The love is sweet. Life is hard. And God is good.

God made us in His own image so that His image would be shown.

We belittle God when we go through the outward motions of worship and take no pleasure in His person.

God loves to show mercy . . . His anger must be released by a stiff safety lock, but His mercy has a hair trigger.

Prayer is the open admission that without Christ we can do nothing. And prayer is the turning away from ourselves to God in the confidence that He will provide the help we need. Prayer humbles us as needy and exalts God as wealthy

Lavish giving and open homes are close to the center of life in Christ.
