Life is too short, too precious, too painful to waste on worldly bubbles that burst

I see no thread running through my work; I simply get on with my life and my painting.

The whole world lives for pleasure. The only difference is theirs is fleeting, while ours is forever in Jesus.

The dismembering of a human being routinely in 30 minutes on an outpatient bases - or any other way - is barbaric. Four blocks from our church all year long - like churches within smelling distance of Auschwitz or Dachau or Buchenwald.

So you can see what is happening in the New Testament. Worship is being significantly deinstitutionalized, delocalized, de-externalized. The whole thrust is being taken off of ceremony and seasons and places and forms and is being shifted to what is happening in the heart - not just on Sunday but every day and all the time in all of life.

When GOD is our deepest pleasure we display Him as our highest treasure.

Where the Bible is esteemed as the inspired and inerrant Word of God, preaching can flourish. But where the Bible is treated merely as a record of valuable religious insight, preaching dies.
