God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.

Our main work is, by the spirit of God, with the Word of God, to portray the glories of God as more beautiful and more satisfying than anything.

You get one pass at life. That’s all. Only one. And the lasting measure of that life is Jesus Christ.

So saving grace, converting grace, for Augustine, is God's giving us a sovereign joy in God that triumphs over all other joys and therefore sways the will. The will is free to move toward whatever it delights in most fully, but it is not within the power of our will to determine what that sovereign joy will be.

I just want to preach so bad I can hardly stand it. I love what I do.

I wrote this poem called “The Calvinist” to capture a glimpse of God’s sovereign intersection with the life of a sinful man. There is no part of life where the greatness of God does not penetrate deeply. I want to help you feel that.

May we catch enough of a vision of Christ that we will not be satisfied unless we know him more fully.
