No matter how you total success in the coaching profession it all comes down to a single factor - talent. There may be a hundred great coaches of whom you have never heard in basketball, football, or any sport who will probably never receive the acclaim they deserve simply because they have not been blessed with the talent. Although not every coach can win consistently with talent, no coach can win without it.

Lead, don't drive. And give credit. Don't blame. If an officer on your team suggested something and it worked well, give them credit. If it doesn't work well, you take the blame because you made the decision.

If I were ever prosecuted for my religion, I truly hope there would be enough evidence to convict me.

Ability may get you to the top, nut it takes chracter to keep you there - mental, moral, and physical.

You have not taught until they have learned.

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.

It's always about focusing not on the mistakes but on the lessons learned from them.
