No man can receive the Holy Ghost without receiving revelations. The Holy Ghost is a revelator.

We say, that the Constitution of the United States is a glorious standard; it is founded in the wisdom of God.

I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.

How precious are the souls of men!

God forbid! I will not bear it. If they take away my rights, I will fight for them manfully and righteously until I am used up. We have done nothing against the rights of others.

When we are accomplishing the good, the greatest opposition comes.

I am the greatest advocate of the Constitution of the United States there is on the earth. In my feelings I am always ready to die for the protection of the weak and oppressed in their just rights. The only fault I find with the Constitution is, it is not broad enough to cover the whole ground.
