I'm not so much of a joiner.

I like to make the music that I really love. You're supposed to make your favorite music that no one else played, and I'd like to just keep it at that and not really change it at all.

I've always heard music in my head since I was a little kid, so I've always played towards that. If I felt bad, that's what I did.

Records don't have to be perfect.

I think people get fixated on the example of an idea.

Sometimes you've got to draw a line between having all the options and being a slave to the things, using them every time you play the guitar. I'm trying to keep a real inconsistency to the pedals so that it is something new every time.

All I really care about is that I'm being honest and I'm real and I'm coming from a real place.
