Hereโs one of my favorite statements: We are never going to enjoy stability, we are never going to enjoy spiritual maturity until we learn how to do whatโs right when it feels wrong, and every time you do whatโs right by a decision of your will using discipline and self control to go beyond how you feel, the more painful it is in your flesh, the more youโre growing spiritually at that particular moment.
Joyce MeyerNobody has a perfect life and it's entirely possible that if you want someone else's life they are busy wanting someone else's tooโmaybe even yours.
Joyce MeyerI think a lot of people believe that they have to be poor to serve God, that they can't have anything. They don't really even know how to give. And one of the main principles in the Bible is you'll reap what you sew, and that if you give into the lives of others, that it shall be given back to you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together. If you go plant one tomato seed, you don't get back one tomato; you get a vine of tomatoes.
Joyce MeyerSatan frequently steals the will of God from us due to reasoning. The Lord may direct us to do a certain thing, but if it does not make sense - if it is not logical - we may be tempted to disregard it. What God leads a person to do does not always make logical sense to his mind. His spirit may affirm it and His mind reject it, especially if it would be out of the ordinary or unpleasant or if it would require personal sacrifice or discomfort.
