Decide that you don’t mind being inconvenienced or interrupted, and God will use you to make a difference.

Sometime we get so addicted to murmuring about the past and blaming the past for everything that we miss our whole future. You're not going to enjoy your future, and you're not going to enjoy your right now, if all you can do is be guilty and ashamed and afraid of your past.

Whatever your situation, God wants to heal you, strengthen you, and lead you to a place where you can enjoy life again.

Self Pity is the most miserable party to go to, because, in case you haven't noticed, you're the only one who is there.

When I was a teenager, I didn't get to do a lot of the things that other kids my age were doing because my dad was very controlling and he wouldn't allow me to go to school activities, like games and dances. So I didn't have positive expectations for my future or really dream about what I could do with my life. I was just trying to survive until I could get out on my own.
